Diseases of the muscles and their associated ligaments and other connective tissue and of the bones and cartilage viewed collectively. Rheumatoid arthritis, an autoimmune disease that causes chronic inflammation of the joints and Fibromyalgia Syndrome, a clinical condition marked by widespread body pain, a form of body tenderness, fatigue, morning stiffness and disrupted sleep, are a just a few of the musculoskeletal diseases treated in our Division of Rheumatology at the Health Science Center.
