The Dale and Victoria Dittmar Nursing Endowment was established in 2015 in memory of their fathers, Douglas Dittmar and John Sweeney.

Dale’s father, Douglas Dittmar, grew up in Fredericksburg, Texas. Douglas was a rancher, proud American, and faithful Christian. His family shares that his faith was a significant part of who he was. He served in the Army during World War II and was proud of his country and service.

Victoria’s father, John Sweeney, grew up in Waco, Texas with an identical twin brother. John was a combat veteran of the wars in Korea and Vietnam. He served as a Green Beret in the Army, and was very proud of his service to his country.

For both of these men, honor, integrity, service, and faith were the dictums by which they both lived. This endowment honors them and their commitment to these values.
