Edith McAllister Memorial banner

Edith McAllister -- a remarkable fundraiser, philanthropist, and community leader -- passed away on July 1, 2018. Edith was the founding member of our Charles E. Cheever, Jr. Center for Medical Humanities & Ethics Advisory Council at UT Health San Antonio. She was a remarkable leader, dedicated to our mission of preparing tomorrow’s healers to act with compassion and justice.

We miss her dearly, remembering her many contributions to the founding of our Center, and her efforts that connected us to this community. A tireless advocate for the arts, music, education, and health, she did so much to make San Antonio a wonderful city.

To honor Edith and her legacy of giving and support, memorial contributions can be made to benefit the Charles E. Cheever, Jr. Center for Medical Humanities & Ethics at UT Health San Antonio.
