Debbie Canales Yrle Distinguished Service Award

For many years, Debbie Yrle dedicated her time, talents and energy to support those around her.

"Debbie was more than an employee at the UT Health Science Center, she was a friend who cared about her work and who took pride in the quality of service she performed for anyone who ever requested her assistance."
-Dr. Bettie Sue Masters

The Debbie Canales Yrle Distinguished Service Endowment supports an outstanding staff member of the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. This endowment provides an annual award, The Debbie C. Yrle Distinguished Service Award, to honor and recognize a UT Health Science Center staff member who provides outstanding support to the education and research mission of the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences.

The Deborah Canales Yrle Distinguished Service fund was established and contributed to by friends, family and colleagues. It has since been elevated to a permanent endowment by Dr. Bettie Sue Masters, in honor of her good friend and assistant.
