A permanent endowment is being established at UT Health San Antonio in the name of Dr. David H. Boldt to support graduate fellows in the Division of Hematology/Oncology. The endowment will honor Dr. Boldt’s excellence in, and dedication to, education, research and patient care in the field Hematology/Oncology.
Dr. Boldt graduated from Tufts University School of Medicine in 1969. Subsequently he pursued training in Internal Medicine and Hematology/Oncology at Barnes Hospital/Washington University School of Medicine. He then served in the Army at the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research before joining the faculty at the University of Kentucky School of Medicine in 1976. Dr. Boldt joined UT Health San Antonio in 1980, where he became Professor of Medicine and Chief of the Division of Hematology in 1985.
The Division of Hematology/Oncology is dedicated to providing excellent patient care, growing basic and translational research, and training the next generation of hematologists/oncologists. Our faculty and staff are committed to advancing superior care in the treatment of patients with cancer.
The Hematology/Oncology Fellowship Program at UT Health San Antonio aims to train its fellows to be master clinicians, excelling at the bedside while serving as mentors and teachers who deliver ideal hematology and oncology care. The David H. Boldt, M.D. Fellowship in Hematology/Oncology will support this exceptional program.
