During his 41 years of service to UT Health San Antonio, David J. Jones, Ph.D., served as a professor of anesthesiology and senior associate dean for admissions in the medical school. More than 3,000 students were admitted to the school on his watch. 

Because of his long-standing devotion to students at the Joe R. & Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine, Dr. Jones and his wife, Jody, made a commitment to support the school’s advising and mentoring program known as Veritas. Veritas’ goal is to enhance the development and well-being of medical students by fostering close professional relationships while helping them succeed in medical school and make informed decisions regarding their career.
