Thank you for your interest in supporting the Dr. Patrick W. Lindner Memorial Fund.
Dr. Lindner joined the faculty of the Department of Medicine’s Division of General Internal Medicine in 2009. He graduated from the UT Health Science Center San Antonio School of Medicine in 2006 and remained at the Health Science Center to complete his residency training.
Dr. Lindner was revered as a clinician and as a teacher by students, residents, and colleagues. His dedication to education was evident from his days as a trainee. He instilled enthusiasm and energy in all those around him, serving as an advocate for learners and fostering a positive learning environment. In recognition of his excellence as an educator, he was voted by the internal medicine residents as one of the Best Attending Physicians in the General Medicine Clinic on multiple occasions and in 2012, he received the Best Outpatient Faculty Award. Dr. Lindner played a pivotal leadership role in implementing the patient-centered medical home in the Internal Medicine Residency Clinic at the Audie L. Murphy Hospital Division of the South Texas Veterans Health Care System. His teaching excellence extended beyond the boundaries of our institution through his activities with the American College of Physicians and Society of General Internal Medicine.
Gifts to Dr. Lindner’s Memorial Fund will support the Lindner Award – an award to recognize the third-year resident whose work most demonstrates excellence in teaching.
