The 2021 President's Gala raised $550,000 for the Linda and Ed Whitacre UT Health San Antonio Hospital Fund. The new hospital will afford access to leading clinical trials and advanced therapies.

The “Wings of Hope – Hands of Healing” sculpture at the main entrance to the cancer center was a generous gift from Valerie and Jack Guenther. Created by artist and sculptor Kent Ullberg, it represents the center’s dedication to decreasing the burden of cancer.
