Radiology

The Department of Radiology is a dynamic academic enterprise with robust clinical, educational, and research initiatives.  Major strengths include the radiology residency and fellowship training programs, the second largest Radiological Sciences Graduate Degree Program and the only defined Radiology Resident-PhD Program in the United States, one of the best organized Nuclear Radiology Residency Programs, and outstanding research laboratories that include the Bioprosthetic Surface Laboratory of Dr. Julio Palmaz, the inventor of the intravascular stent.
