Carlos E. Del Rio Chair in Endodontics

It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Dr. Carlos E. del Rio on Saturday, December 21, 2019. The services for Dr. Carlos E. del Rio are Friday, January 10, 2020 at St. Gregory the Great located at 700 Dewhurst, San Antonio, Texas 78213 at 10:00am. Gravesite services will follow at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North located at 3401 Cherry Ridge, San Antonio, Texas 78230.

Dr. Carlos E. del Rio served as the Department Chair of Endodontics from 1982 to 1997. He established an endowment fund to support the department of Endodontics, and had been a dear friend to the School of Dentistry at UT Health San Antonio long after retiring.  

The del Rio family is asking for donations to the Carlos E. del Rio endowment fund in lieu of flowers.  

Please be encouraged to share this with others who may wish to attend memorial services and support with a memorial gift as a tribute to the life and legacy of Dr. Carlos E. del Rio.
