Laredo Campus

Laredo Regional Campus

The UT Health Science Center Laredo Regional Campus represents an excellent model of how health profession services are increasing and improving in South Texas because of strong educational initiatives.

The D.D. Hachar Building, with its distinctive bell tower, opened in 2002 followed by the Administration Building in 2007. The Laredo campus supports health professional education, research and training programs throughout South Texas.

Students are now offered the opportunity to take classes at the Laredo campus as they fulfill their goals of becoming health care leaders for tomorrow. In addition, students from both the San Antonio and Laredo campuses participate in community outreach activities that provide services to the citizens of Webb and surrounding counties. These projects are established based on community needs and greatly benefit patient populations in need of care. Working alongside health professionals, our students and Dental School residents have the opportunity to train within the Laredo community.
