We look forward to hosting our vaccinated guests at this year’s President’s Gala.
Given the unique nature of our mission and the direct contact by many of our physicians and healthcare providers with vulnerable patients — we are requesting that you please wear a mask when not seated for dinner. Festive gala masks will be distributed at the event should you wish to wear a mask matching our “theme” of the event. We must not reduce our vigilance and look forward to hosting our vaccinated guests at this year’s President’s Gala. Many of our guests are required to operate at the highest of standards to protect our patients and I am grateful to you for your consideration of this sincere request.
Should you wish to make an appointment to receive a vaccination you may contact Rhonda Falcon, Presidential Patient Navigator, at falconr@uthscsa.edu or by phone at 210-450-8600.

On Wednesday, November 3, 2021, UT Health San Antonio will honor Linda and Ed Whitacre at our annual President’s Gala. This year’s Gala proceeds will be used to establish the Linda and Ed Whitacre UT Health San Antonio Hospital Fund, which will support construction of the new UT Health San Antonio Multispecialty & Research Hospital. Our UT Health Hospital will provide state-of-the-art care, including new precision therapies that offer personalized medicine for our patients.
Each year, the President’s Gala provides valuable support for our university’s mission to make lives better through education, research, health care, and community engagement. Our community role is to educate a diverse workforce of health care providers and scientists; engage in research to improve health; provide state-of-the-art patient care; enhance community health awareness and practices; address health disparities; and serve as the health safety net for San Antonio and South Texas’ most vulnerable populations.
We are privileged to recognize Linda and Ed and their exemplary service to our community. With your help, the 2021 President’s Gala will again be a spectacular evening for our community.
If we can assist in any way, please do not hesitate to contact us at (210) 567-2508.
