Our UT Health Hospital will provide state-of-the-art care, including new precision therapies that offer personalized medicine for our patients. Primarily dedicated to cancer services, the eight-story, 144-bed hospital will also accommodate specialties including neurosciences, orthopaedics, urology, thoracic surgery and bariatrics. Early phase clinical trials, including immunologic and stem cell therapies for cancer, will be a signature offering in the hospital. The hospital will add 100 medical residents and fellows and 800 high-quality jobs for the city, and it will offer advanced treatments through team-based care grounded in the latest medical research. This new hospital will be a destination center for treatment of cancer and other complex diseases that disproportionately impact the people of San Antonio. It is our vision that no one in San Antonio should have to leave their home, and the support of family and their community, to get the specialty care and access to clinical trials.
