Giving to the School of Dentistry

Building a LEGACY of making lives better

The School of Dentistry and the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio were created and developed by a small group of energetic and innovative individuals with a well-defined mission and unrelenting resolve.  The School of Dentistry accepted its first class of students in 1970 and rapidly rose to a level of national and international distinction.

The accomplishments of the School are due to the solid and unwavering support of three insightful and visionary Health Science Center Presidents; a strong cadre of individuals in leadership positions across the School; loyal, dedicated and scholarly faculty members; steadfast and talented staff members; bright and energetic students; and a large circle of passionate alumni and friends supporting the School with their donations of time and money.  This website is place where all those who created the School of Dentistry and contributed to its success can come together to reconnect with friends and mentors, meet the current students and faculty and glimpse the future of oral health care through the innovations in classroom teaching, clinical training and laboratory research.
